unwinding into dancing – a playground for improvisation

unwinding ­– letting tension that is residual from our day or unconsciously lumbering in our muscles and fascia release into movement.

diving in – opening portals to our sources for improvisation and expanding our patterns of movement and choice.

connecting – activating connections in the body/mind/heart continuum and in space with fellow dancers.

playing – improvising with musicality, touch, changes in tone and what else emerges.

Six classes in which we create a playground for going deep and wide, based on the notion that there is a richness in each of us that we access when we listen to what is there before we set off with new input. This richness will be at the base of all the work we do. We invite you to trust it, play with it, build with it, communicate with it.

Both Bettina and Natanja have invested the past thirty years of their lives to the art of dance in all its aspects. We have studied, danced and delved into questions that bridge our art with life and the world we are part of. Our dance and art are not something that have meaning solely in the studio or theatre, but are a life process. This is what brings us together: being a human dancer and a dancing human in a world that we are connected to in myriad ways. In our classes we draw from and naturally intertwine elements of Skinner-releasing, Aikido, Authentic Movement and instant-composition.

Schedule: Wednesday November 2, 9 & 16, December 7, 14 & 21, 2016, 19h00 – 21h30

Venue: Studio Vredenburgh, Vredenburghersteeg 35, Amsterdam (in walking distance to CS)

Fee: All 6 classes: € 140,-. If you sign-up and pay before October 18, 2016: € 125,- for all 6 classes. Drop-in class: € 25,-. All prices are inclusive of 21% VAT.
